What's the best table for camping?

Folding tables can be a must when you're camping for cooking, playing cards, or just a place to put your drinks. You don't really think about it, but there's often not a flat surface for you to stick stuff on when you're out in the woods - your cooler may be the only thing you can use as a table, and it may not exactly meet standards of cleanliness. Having a folding camping table makes things easier and keeps you from being forced to just balance things on a rock or put them in the dirt. One other use that you may overlook is a place to put screws or other parts to your various items of camping equipment. They're small and don't take up much space, so it's probably worth packing one.

Coleman Camping Table - Coleman makes a fold-up camping table that is pretty cheap, around $40, and you can use it for making food, eating off of, or anything you might need a table for. It's got a little handle you can see in the picture, and when it folds up you can carry it like a suitcase. It weighs about fifteen pounds, and you can fit 8 people around it as the absolute maximum. You can get it online here.

Cooler Tables - This is a great idea - a cooler that has sections that fold out for use as tables and chairs. It's not as fancy as a "real" camping table, but it will save you quite a bit of space if you're taking a cooler on your trip anyway. It can also make packing a lot easier, you just pull out the sides of the cooler when you want to sit down. The only downside is that if you're not careful with it it's easier to get the table surfaces dirty. You can get it online here for about $50.

Suitcase Aluminum Folding Table - It's made of pretty durable aluminum, and it folds up both the chairs and table into an easily portable suitcase. It weighs about 17 pounds, so it's pretty easy to carry around. It's also kind of small so you can fit it into a larger tent if you need to. You can get it online here for around $60.

Portable Aluminum Roll-top Table - This one is simple and sweet - just a table that weighs only ten pounds, can hold 50 pounds, and has a nylon carry case when you fold it up. It closes kind of like an accordion. You can get it online here for about $40.
